While we are building this website, we hope you can take advantage of some of the features that are already functioning.

What begun as a project to find all the apartments that Westerners living in Shenzhen liked to live in mushroomed into a project to find EVERYTHING a westerner could want in Shenzhen.

That means:

• Movie listings in English
• Western restaurants
• Schools that cater to Western Students
• Groceries where you can buy those Western groceries you want, like a good sausage, or a turkey for Christmas Dinner
• A listing of hospitals that can speak English and hospitals that are rated best for cardiology, obstetrics, etc. whether or not they can speak English.
• Services (such as where you can get a Western styled haircut).
• The best places to go to buy eyeglasses, plates, knives and forks.
• Where to get an oven! And so on.

Of course, this has been a lot of research, and we are counting on the rest of the expat community here to let us know all the great services and places that we have missed so we can categorize them and map them and provide taxi directions!

Every business listed here will have a link to their website and written and VERBAL taxi directions on how to get there. A mobile app is on it way to being completed that will allow you to play those directions to the cabbie using your smart phone.

Our Movie listings will shortly have the prices and, hopefully, if negotiations work out, the ability to buy tickets online.

But that is not all!

Create your own profile, make friends, upload photos and videos, create groups and more!

Our website is more than just a place to find things, it is a place to make friends with other westerners, set up clubs, groups and events, and a lot more!

When we are finished (and that will be soon), you will can create a group, send email messages to members in the group, create events, and so much more. For example, a school teacher can use our website to have a private group for her students and their parents. She can post homework assignments create a calendar of events that parents and kids can look at, have a photo album for the classroom and a lot more that will allow parents to be more involved with their child’s classroom activities.

A couple getting married can create a private group for their guests where the locations of events can be posted, with maps and directions, updates, and anything they need to communicate to friends and family can be as simple as sending out a group email!

A club can be formed, such as a photography club, or a “learning Chinese” club where events, activities, photos and everything else can be posted in that groups pages. Groups can be public or private. Public groups can be open to everyone, private groups will not even show up and will only be found by invitation.

Our website also has a classified section. Free to members of the public. Sell those things you don’t want anymore or find that item that you wanted. Post job ads, look for work, find romance!

Of course, if you are looking for a place to live, here you will be able to find full descriptions of the popular buildings that Westerners like to live in along with photos of the facilities, the grounds, the hallways, entrances, etc. And then, using our mapping features, you will be able to see what services are nearby, where you can eat, shop, send your kids to school, etc.

So, while we are building this all out, please feel free to make suggestions, suggest restaurants, services, etc., that you have found that you know other expats will be interested in, create groups, make clubs and GET INVOLVED.

Oh… and don’t forget our great chat feature! You can group chat or private chat as well!
